Broccoli Au Gratin Potatoes are delicious & so easy to make at home from scratch! These irresistible potatoes are drenched in a rich broccoli cheese sauce! You can even add Ham, Chicken or Bacon & make this a complete meal. 

It’s a great dinner idea for those chilly evenings.

  •  3 Pounds Potatoes
  •  4 Tablespoons Butter
  •  3 Cloves Garlic, Chopped fine
  •  1/4 Cup Flour
  •  1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt
  •  3 Cups Milk
  •  2 Cups Freshly Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  •  1/2 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
  •  3 Cups Broccoli Florets, Finely Chopped


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.


1_ Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 

2_ Add garlic and cook until fragrant (roughly 1 min.) stirring constantly.

3_ Whisk flour into butter & garlic mixture, whisking constantly until mixed throughly.

4_ Gradually whisk in the milk until combined 

5_ Bring the mixture to a simmer then remove from the heat and stir in the cheddar, parmesan, and chopped broccoli.


1_ Wash the potatoes & peel.

2_ Slice potatoes into ⅛ inch slices.

3_ Layer half of the potatoes in the prepared baking dish and pour over half of the broccoli cheddar sauce.

4_ Repeat the process by using the remaining potatoes and broccoli cheddar sauce.

5_ Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

6_ Remove foil from the pan, sprinkle on the remaining cheese & return the potatoes oven. 

7_ Cook for an additional 35-40 or until potatoes are cooked through and the top is golden brown.
