PULL-APART GARLIC BREAD MEATBALL SLIDERS
These simple sliders are so hearty and delicious! Store-bought rolls are transformed into little cheesy garlic bread meatball subs for parties, snacks and weeknight meals.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 package sweet Hawaiian dinner rolls, (12 rolls)
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce*
- 4 teaspoons italian seasoning, divided*
- 3 teaspoons garlic powder, divided*
- 1 package (12 ounces) refrigerated meatballs, cut in half*
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
DIRECTIONS
1_ Preheat oven to 350°F.
2_ Mix tomato sauce, 3 teaspoons Italian seasoning and 1 teaspoon garlic powder in large bowl. Add meatballs; stir to coat in sauce mixture. Set aside.
3_ Remove rolls from package but do not separate.
4_ Cut entire package of rolls in half horizontally, leaving bottom half slightly thicker than top half.
5_ Place bottom half of rolls in 13”x9” baking dish, cut side up.
6_ Layer provolone cheese over bottom half of rolls.
7_ Top with meatballs and sauce.
8_ Sprinkle meatballs with mozzarella.
9_ Place top half of rolls, cut side down, on top of mozzarella.
10_ Mix butter with remaining spices.
11_ Brush tops of rolls with butter mixture.
12_ Cover with foil.
13_ Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
TIP: Can use 1 cup jar spaghetti sauce and / or frozen meatballs (thawed) for step 1, if preferred.
